
As a designer, I design with sustainability in mind; as social, political and environmental concerns are at the forefront of my overall design process. I create work that is not only visually engaging, but conceptually driven and practical.
Why The Asterisk?
The asterisk, deriving from the Ancient Greek word asteriskos (“little star”), is one of the oldest typographical symbols. It is a reference mark primarily used to call attention to a footnote or annotation. The use of the asterisk in my personal branding serves a similar purpose— as a nod to the references that inform and contextualise my visual language, and a representation of my design process in calling attention to detail. The asterisk asks the viewer to pause and contemplate, and symbolises elaboration, revision, and refinement. The use of the asterisk in my personal branding embodies and corresponds to my creative intentions and practice.
